wow - I won! and a wrap-up on the "meet: my Machine!" hop

4:30:00 AM

Good morning all!

On behalf of Stacey and myself, I'd like to thank all of the people who participated in the meet: My Machine! blog hop, and to all of those people who linked their posts up with Stacey's linky-party!

I had several emails and comments from readers who had some really positive things to say about the concept; several of us are always looking for our next machine and this hop ended up being a valuable resource for several of us.

I'm going to place the links to all of the machine posts on my RESOURCES page so that it'll be there for the rest of time :)

I'll announce the winner of my giveaway soon.

In other news - remember this project I recently finished?
"my first, pixelated"
I pixelated my first ever sewing machine - a 70's Brother.

I had it entered in the Pantone Color of the Year Quilt Challenge on Ali's blog - and holy moly - I WON FIRST PLACE.

I've never won anything for any of my quilts - so yesterday was a happy, happy day!

A huge congratulations to all of the other winners - it was a lot of fun to participate in the challenge - and a big thank you to Ali and the sponsors.

  1. Congratulations Erin, your quilt is so fantastic - it totally deserved to win! Thanks so much for organising the blog hop - I'm so glad you got lots of positive feedback! I've really enjoyed reading everyone else's posts and writing my own, and all the comments people have been leaving - yours cracked me up! I also think its been great to have a blog hop that's not selling anything, but more for just general informational purposes.

    1. Hi Amber!
You're a no-reply blogger, so instead of sending you an email I'll answer you here!
Well, I love my old machine, and I wanted to pay it a bit of a tribute. I thought, what better than a wall hanging in my sewing room!
I started sketching out some ideas, and then decided that maybe pixelating it might be cool, so I ran with it!
      Thanks for asking :)
