New Year, New Look, New Projects.

Welcome welcome 2014!

2013 was an eventful year for me, inviting a new member into our family:

Baby Ewan
Superman quilt by Sew at Home Mummy
...the babe has been a handful so far - he's had some health issues but we're getting them under control and he's doing much better.

Sew at Home Mummy: Simply Solids a modern {bee}I also ran a very large modern Bee, Simply Solids, with participants from all over the world. It was a lot of fun, and I think most of those who participated had a blast. Because I'm going to be so busy this year with 2 under the age of 2, I opted not to run it for 2014 - but it may be back in 2015!

And, as much as I'd like to continue running the tips & tricks Tuesdays link-up party, I just can't commit this year to it, so it's going on the back-burner: for now. If you haven't checked out the past tips and tricks I have posted, you should - especially the blogging tips if you're new to Blogger or are ready to add some handy dandy gadgets to your platform. As well, there were some pretty awesome guest hosts along the way with some really great quilty and bloggy tips! The links to the tips are located in the menu bar at the top of this page.

You may also have noticed that my blog now has a fresh new look. I've been busy for the last couple of months plugging away at updating the blog, and I'm loving the look. Hopefully you do, too.

Sew at Home MummySo, this year, my major project will be the quilt along I've created, running January - December 2014. If you're interested in playing along, here's the post with more information:
Classic meets Modern QAL
Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to take the classic/traditional block I post instructions to every month and put a modern spin on it. Sound like fun? I think so.

To those whom are participating, remember to link a picture of your block up every month so that your creations might inspire others!
