Shenanigans brewing here - working on a custom cutting table

9:29:00 AM

I'm in the process of renovating my side of the basement, where I have all of my sewing and quilting gear.

I have sealed the foundation, insulated the walls, put new cement board up and new faux brick paneling and trim (here's all of my basement renovation posts).

My tables are back in their spots -

and now I'm trying to work out what to do with my cutting table...I know is that this old treadle base I acquired is going to be a part of it:
nice treadle base, she's going to convert it to a cutting table!

Stay tuned on this one - I'm really excited about it, busy sketching out a bunch of ideas!

I've also been busy working on a custom fat quarter storage cubby shelf for the wall above my desk -

I'm writing up a tips and tricks/tutorial post for this and get it up here on the blog as soon as I'm done! I'm having a lot of fun with this DIY project.
