2014 Finish #2: Orla Kiely inspired table runner; TGIFF! And a Craftsy Class GIVEAWAY!!
9:36:00 PMHi all, and happy Friday!
Today I'll be linking up to TGIFF, and am sharing this table runner I recently finished as my Thank Goodness It's Finished Friday item!
I absolutely love the Irish fashion designer Orla Kiely. Her work is very retro but modern at the same time. I thought in the spirit of her designs, I'd create a table runner for my mum.

I love how it turned out! I think it looks great, and I am really pleased with the quilting.
In celebration of finishing this little gift for my mum, the people at Craftsy are offering up a free online quilting class for one of my readers! I've taken quite a few classes through the Craftsy online platform, and I love that I can sit in my jammies and learn from the best of the best, tee hee.
You can click here to head over there to win a Craftsy class of your choice!:

I love this! I'm also a big Orla fan and I think that was a great use of inspiration. The quilting is fantastic - love the intersecting lines! I'm still a little scared of applique, but it's definitely something I'd like to do some more of going forward! Thanks for sharing :^)

ReplyDeleteLooks awesome Erin! I love the pattern:) Did you hand or machine applique? Was it easy to do? I think something like this might be good for a first applique project:)
