ooh... works in progress, celebrations & coupons, oh my!
4:30:00 AMHappy Wednesday, all.
Well the fourth installment of Sew at Home Mummy's Classic meets Modern QAL went live yesterday morning without any joking. For the month of April, we're tackling a simple but beautiful block, and one of my favorites: the Double-Z or Brown Goose. I really can't wait to see what kind of modern spin you all will put on this block this month! It's not too late to join in if you'd like - the links to the monthly block instructions are in the sidebar to the right.
In other news, I've been really lucky to take some pretty fabulous sponsors on in the past few weeks, one of them being Mad About Patchwork.
I wanted to note that Pam at M.A.P. is having her 6th Anniversary celebration for the month of April - and as such, she's got some pretty fabulous specials each week! This week, use the coupon code CELEBRATE10 to save $10 off purchases of $50 or more! (April 1-7).
...and she's got some really yummy stuff in her sale bin... while I *should* have been sleeping last night, I was browsing her store instead... I have my eye on a few things I would **love**...
A bit of Amy Butler?
Lotus: Morning Glory in Linen |
Glimma: Soba Tangerine |
Botanics, Carolyn Freidlander for Robert Kaufman |
So, as well as the tutorial above, I have another WIP I've been plugging away on; the king-sized quilt I've been creating for over a year, and had my Simply Solids Bee sister's help with, too. I finally managed to get it trimmed up today and ready to be bound; the binding is sewn together and sitting on my ironing board, waiting to be pressed. I am NOT looking forward to binding this beast...so close though to being done....
