Trick to using Aurifil Cones on your Home Sewing Machine (no stand required!)
11:01:00 AMHave you been wanting to buy your Aurifil* threads in bulk, on a cone instead of a spool, but thought you wouldn't be able to use it on your vertical spool pin home sewing machine without a stand?
Well then, give this trick a shot on your home sewing machine!
Sew at Home Mummy Tip:
place a narrow spool of thread on your vertical spool pin, then, slide your cone over top.The narrower spool should extend the purpose of the pin enough to hold your cone in place!
* you may need to play a bit with the size and type of smaller spool which will fit under the cone with out obstructing it's spinning motion while sewing.

Hopefully this trick works as well for you as it has for me!
