I've had this machine for a very long time -
it's a Brother Pacesetter XL3001, and by my mom's estimation it's from the late 1970s. Years ago I acquired (more like commandeered) this machine from my mom, and for a long time (decades!) it was my only machine.

Over my years of blogging I have had several people from all over the world contact me wondering how to change stitch length, type, how to thread it, and where to obtain an instruction manual for this machine.

Here ya go. I spent hours scanning and editing to make this available with one caveat:
