...ball blocks.

Sigh.

This is a commissioned piece I'm doing for my mom; queen sized yellow/grey snowball block quilt.  She picked the pattern from a magazine (Quick Quilts), and then requested I use the Joel Dewberry line "Aviary 2".

2 blocks done!!!
.... 80 bazillion left to go. Quick Quilts my arse :p

    Yeah. I've done those "quick" quilts before. They are easy, but surely not quick!!! And they become so repetitive in the piecing that you get bored real "quick." LOL!

    Aviary 2 is one of my favorite lines and I don't even own any of this one. I've been tempted to do the ball blocks as a scrappy quilt with a zillion different fabrics because otherwise I think it might be hard to keep the interest. good luck with your project.
