Diamond jelly roll quilt. {Finally} using up the Coquette

8:50:00 AM

Wednesday, already?

Well, I've been busy. Yesterday and today I'm helping my friend out, making some head-pieces for a run of "Tarzan" which'll be put on through the summer in St. Louis.

At night, and early this morning, I've been chain piecing my Coquette triangles, as the kids sleep:

(excuse the dog bed, he sleeps under my sewing machine table in the dining room as I sew)

I decided on making this quilt:

It's a Moda Bakeshop piece from Kristy @ Handmade Retro. I'm bordering the diamonds with a pale Bella Solids pink. The back of the quilt will be a butter yellow minky, as it's ultimately destined for my little girl's bed.

At night I've also been busy making teeny tiny bear paw blocks (6" fini) for the corners of my sister in law's quilt. I only need to make 4 blocks, but it's taking forever!

  1. Pretty! I have some charm packs of Coquette that are collecting dust because they're too pretty to use.

  3. those bear paws are so tiny to have so many pieces in, they must have been so fiddly to do but you have done them to perfection. Pretty quilt for your daughter
