Feedly Help: making a blog button for your readers.

8:32:00 PM

Hi all,

I recently posted that I was having issues with creating a button for my blog for followers who'd like to read through the RSS feeder "Feedly".

I had posted earlier this week that I was having problems creating a button on Feedly's site for my blog - I contacted their customer support but never heard back - not sure if this is because by the time they got to me a few of my readers had already helped me out or not.

Anyway.

If you're wanting to make a Feedly button for your site (and for the record, Feedly is an alternative reader to Bloglovin'), here are two options.

1) Head over to my friend Lucy's blog, Charm About You; she's written a tutorial on how to do it.

or...

2) My bloggy friend Sarah from Smiles Too Loudly posted a comment on my blog with tips on how to do it.

Head over to Feedly Button Factory

Choose your button.

In the website field, enter:

http://YOUR URL HERE/feeds/posts/default

There.

That should do the job. Eventually I'll make a custom Feedly button to match the others, but in the meantime, I have a button for those who wish to follow with this reader.

  1. Erin, since I'm guessing you already have the spool graphic for you social media icons, here is a tutorial I have to create the feedly one on top of it. In my instructions, skip step 1 and just use your blank spool icon. http://reddeliciouslife.blogspot.com/2013/06/creating-feedly-button-for-your-blog.html

  2. Thank you. Now I have a Feedly button, and it wasn't even painful.

  3. Woohoo! I'll have to try that. And find the place I downloaded my icons since I skipped Feedly's.
