For the love of Blogs, somebody, help? re: Feedly

7:00:00 AM

ETA: Thanks to my Feedly reader sfredette, I have managed to fix the Feedly problem - thank you so much, girl!! xoxoxo
Feedly button now with my other social media buttons in the right sidebar. :)

So for the past 3 days I have been trying really hard to 'claim' my blog on Feedly.

I have no idea what the heckadoodles I'm doing wrong - and I'm pretty tech savvy.

I have an email out to Feedly support, but in the meantime - have any of my readers figured out how to 'grab' your feed-specific URL? I can't find the URL as the type they list in their (minimal) help instructions.

Normally I wouldn't bother, but, there are almost 100 of you (99, to be exact), whom are following me via Feedly, and I'd like to add a button to my site for those who prefer it over Bloglovin'!

Thanks in advance, Bloggy friends :)

  1. Hi Erin,

I actually follow your blog through feedly. :D You don't need to "claim" it like you do with bloglovin.

    Go to:

    choose your icon

    And use: as your webpage.

It should work like that - at least it did for me two minutes ago. :D

  2. I wrote a tutorial...

    Hope that helps!

  3. Feedly was shut down for a few days last week. Not sure if that impacted what you are trying to do.

  4. Thanks for asking this question as I have no idea and it's my preferred reader. And no, you don't need a button if you use it.

They were dealing with some hackers last week as someone above said, which can happen to anyone, but it might have interfered with your button plans.

  5. I follow you in feedly. You don't need to "claim your blog". I never y
use the buttons on blogs anyway as it's really easy to add a new blog to your feedly reader.

  6. I did do something when I first started but cannot for the life of me remember what it was? I never really understood the whole "claiming" thing so if you can shed light on it that would be great!

  7. I followed Sarah Fredette's instructions and added Feedly to my blog too, so thanks for asking for help. How do you know how many people are following you this way? I had a reader mention she follows my blog on feedly, but I can't figure out how to see if anyone else does.
