Classic meets Modern QAL: The Starflower - JULY!
7:17:00 AMHi all!
Happy July 1st (CANADA DAY!! Woot!!)!
It's a new month - and that means a new block for the Classic meets Modern Quilt Along here at Sew at Home Mummy!
If you're just tuning in, the previous month's instructions are located in the right sidebar of the blog.
This month we'll be playing around a bit with the Starflower block - a really classic one, and in honor of July 4th, we just had to create a star!
Here are the instructions for this month's block:
Click {HERE} for July's Star Flower Block instructions!
The Starflower isn't a complicated block, but really quite simple - and really fast, especially if you're planning on improv-ing it and making it super wonky.
I've included two blocks for this month again - one in the traditional format, one in a super-mod, super-wonky composition.
The "Classic" Starflower |
Crazy, wonky, "Modern" Starflower Block! |
Whichever you decide, or however you decide to do it: have fun with it!! I can't wait to see what you link up this month.

ReplyDeleteErin, with a wee collection of blocks now I'm getting quite excited about this. I'm wondering, are you going to give us setting ideas at the end of the year or are we all going to create our own "unique masterpieces"?
ReplyDeleteLate to the party as normal, but I'm here xx
ReplyDeleteI ♥ to hear from you!
