So, today I'm linking up to the super massive, super fantastical Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day. If you've never heard of it, it's a week-long prize-partay thrown by Sew Mama Sew, where a whole wack-load of blogs link up their giveaways on the first day. Then you, the reader, (and me, the writer! I wanna win some fabulousness, too! tee hee) hop around to all of the blogs, read a bit about the authors, leave some comments, find some awesome new people and blogs to follow, and enter to win some super fantastical swag!

Anywho! So all of the swag being given away on all of the blogs out there signed up for this day is/are sewing, crafting, and quilting related - it may be a handmade item, patterns, or supplies for your sewing room (including fabrics!).

It's a great way to become exposed to new blogs, learn some great tips and tricks, and add some more reading material to your feed reader!

    My favorite thing about spring? That it's not winter any more!! The really sad thing about that is I live in Dallas and it just (usually) doesn't get that cold here. Still don't like it. :)

    My favorite thing about spring is hearing the birds again outside my daughter's window, and seeing my flowers come up in their pots, and... of course, its still not too hot to sit on the couch with a quilt on my lap to hand stitch. : )

    There are so many things I love about spring. First, the color!!! After so much white and gray, it is a relief. I also love getting my hands dirty prepping my garden. And lastly, the opportunity to crack the windows and feel a breeze is pretty much incredible.

    The green. I live in Utah where it is snowy in the winter and everything is brown and dead in the summer so I love the bright green of spring.

    I live where it's fairly warm year-round (florida) but I like that brief period of time where it's perfect in the evenings and you're not drenched in sweat just for walking outside to get your mail. Now is the time where we can actually sit out on our porch and enjoy it before it gets into the 90's.

    I love how many things outdoors seem to come to life again during spring...the warmth of the sunshine, flowers coming up (especially daffodils, my favorite), the birds busy with their families in their nests, and the joyful laughter of children playing.
