Bella Skill Builder - July - Courthouse Steps

5:30:00 AM

Happy July 1, and Happy Canada Day everyone.

For those of you who may not know, I'm a Canadian expat living here in the great city of Chicago. My husband and I like to expose the kids to as many Canadian-isms as we can, so today, we'll be celebrating with lots of red and white while we gear up to celebrate with lots of red, white and blue in 3 days time!

Today marks the first of the month and therefore the continuation of the Bella Skill Builder Quilt along hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop. This is the awesomesauce quilt (in our own color palettes) we are all making:

...the pattern is free and the block instructions are available on the Jolly Jabber blog the first of each month, so make sure to check it out!

Here is my color palette inspiration -

These are all of my blocks for the quilt along up until this month (click the thumbnails to read more about each block in separate posts):

This month's Bella Solids colors used were:
Ivory
Nautical
Teal
Raspberry
Cherry

I had a lot of fun with this basic but versatile block. This block was SO quick and easy that I don't even have any tips and tricks for you!

Make sure to hit the Jolly Jabber today and all of the other bloggers listed there who are participating in the quilt along, and if you're on Pinterest, save any block ideas you love for later!

The Fat Quarter Shop has a precut kit available for this quilt if you're interested, and {here's the link}.

Are YOU participating in the quilt along? Leave me a link to an image of YOUR blocks (Instagram, Flickr, your blog, wherever!) to share with me and my readers if you like! I love to see your color palettes!
