For the next few days, I'm hosting a giveaway to celebrate Quilting Gallery's 5th Birthday, and I'm participating in a Blog Hop in commemoration!

There's a list there of others participating in the Blog Hop, all of whom are having a giveaway! The Blog Hop on Quilting Gallery starts in the wee hours of December 10 and runs until December 15. As well I should mention that "Simply Solids: a modern {bee}" is accepting international members (members grouped geographically)! The bee is in the spirit of the modern quilting movement - solids only - no patterned fabric or blenders allowed!

    I love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, but I also love A Christmas Story. I also love LA LA LA Lifetime Movies this time of year... and Ho Ho Ho H"O"allmark Channel movies.

    I love Groundhog Day and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I like them both because they are hilarious and because they end up showcasing the goodness of the human spirit :-) We need that every day, not just on the holidays. Thanks for the chance to win!

    Oh heavens..Miracle on 34th Street... I love it when Suzy gets her house and they show the cane in the corner...it's such a feel good movie.. it makes me warm and fuzzy and I can watch it all year long.

    I don't really have a favorite holiday movie, but Ghostbreakers (with Bob Hope) is always a fun sort of ghost story around Halloween.

    When I was a kid, we were only allowed to watch Disney movies and they were really scary! Bambi loses his parents, Dumbo gets separated from his mother and Fantasia... wow, that night on bald mountain is the scariest thing I've ever seen! Anne Perry writes some really nice Christmas stories and I read Dicken's Christmas Carol, but I didn't think the Polar Express had any words in the book. I wonder how they made a movie I see I a missing something by not going to movies.

    I love Connecting Threads- they have some lovely fabrics and great prices and shipping. My favorite Christmas movie Love Actually though I like the cartoon version of the Grinch and some of the other children's Christmas stories.

    Every Christmas Eve, here in Sweden, you can see "Karl-Bertil Jonssons Jul" (The Christmas of Karl-Bertil Jonsson) on the TV. It´s about a boy who loves Robin Hood. He works at the postoffice, helping to sort out all the cristmas gifts. When he sees a address to someone he knows is rich, he puts that gift in another sack. "To take from the rich and give to the poor". To make a long story short, it all ends happy. It´s a cartoon and I love the characters in this little movie!

    Favorite holiday movie is called It's A Wonderful Life. Really good Christmas movie. It's an older movie but you will always enjoy it.
