Beautify your Blog: week 1 - introductions

4:00:00 AM

Hi all!

Welcome to week 1 of the Beautify your Blog series here at Sew at Home Mummy.

This series is designed to help those who don't know a lot about the Blogger platform, but would like to improve the look of their blog.

Most of what I will cover with respect to modifying the look of your blog will be Blogger specific, and more specifically, those using the "Simple" template.

Disclaimer:
Everything I've learned about blogging, design and html is all self taught. Most of what I know is relatively basic.

Embark on this journey at your own risk; if you don't feel comfortable modifying something, don't...I can't be held responsible if you make an error during any modifications to your blog. That said, I'll try to walk you through each step or tutorial with clear, concise steps.

I'll try my best to cover topics you previously asked about, but there are no guarantees I'll be able to cover every one of them.

As well, I have to apologize in advance: my time is at a premium what with 2 little ones under 2 years to love, so there are no guarantees I'll be able to field all troubleshooting questions. I try my best to reply to every comment, but please forgive me if I'm unable to respond to yours.

This is meant to be a fun, tips and tricks tutorial series which hopefully, you'll take a few helpful tidbits and pretty-up your blog.

I highly suggest you create a test blog which you can play with, without risk of 'damaging' your main blog - and I'll show you how to create a test blog below...

but,

Most of all: BACK UP YOUR BLOG. (and I'll show you how to do that below :))

Let's get started, shall we?

Here's a button for your blogs, if you'd like :)

  8. There may be something wrong with my internet, but I can't see your videos on this post. There's the title to each video then a blank box and a circle with an slash in it. Are the videos still working? I love that you have put this together as I am a new blogger and want to make it as cute and user friendly as I can!
