Helping out a great bloggy/quilty/expat-y friend.

So today I managed to get a block done for the Chicago MQG's breast cancer awareness charity quilt. Our task was to take a slang term about boobies and create a block inspired by that term.

I got "cupcakes".

I went totally literal with my block. Okay. So sometimes I'm not that creative. :D

For those who may be interested, I'm in the process of writing up a pattern for the block now, I'll let you all know when it's ready!

Today I spent a few minutes helping out a bloggy/quilty/expat friend - Mara made these amazing little shorts out of Liberty of London fabric and she entered them in a contest...so of course I made sure to head over there to vote - if you'd like to vote, here is the link and a pic of the shorts she made (click the picture to head over to vote - you need to register and confirm your email, but it's really quick to do!):

She also has entered a block in the Win a Singer Sewing Machine contest, and if you'd like to vote for her block, you can click the link below:

Mara's also having a giveaway on her blog right now - {click here} to go there!
