Holding Myself Accountable...(and checking one off the list)

8:00:00 AM

Right!

So I'm a list-maker. Through and through.

Back in December, I made a list of goals of which I'd like to accomplish in 2016 with respect to my quilty habits.

Here's the post, but basically, this is the list:

1. Complete a quilt for myself!
2. Complete at least one UFO quilt project
3. Earn at least $1000 in online surveys toward a longarm
4. Enter at least one quilt in a show

In order to keep myself accountable, I made up that little graphic at the top of this post and then plopped it over in my sidebar with that list staring me in the face every time I log on to the ol' blog.

and -

Oh ya, notice something???? I've already checked something off! I entered my Color Wheel quilt into a show for February. We will see.

I've also been working on something else for the Chicago IQF show - with submissions due Feb 12. I better move my butt!

  1. Hi Erin, love your blog and IG posts! You can do this! I watched your progress with your new home last year and was amazed of all that you can do. There is nothing better than crossing off projects on your list :). I'm a list maker too and if I'm having a "challenging" day, I list stuff like empty the dishwasher, feed the dog lol just to have something to cross off. Looking forward to seeing "Won an award in the Quilt Show" crossed off your list this year. Hugs. Denise

  2. This is a great idea! I'd love to have a blog post or something to hold me accountable, but then I'd have to start by writing a post about it, you know? lol.

  3. Good morning Erin and kudos to you for taking that first giant step toward completing one of the things on your list. I love, love, love that quilt and hope that you will keep that one for yourself. What better quilt to hang in a quilter's sewing room than a color wheel that is so bright and cheery, that you couldn't help but smile every time you saw it. It's awesome and I hope you win a ribbon for all your hard work. lv2bquilting2@comcast.net

  4. Good for you, Erin! But first of all, your quilt is gorgeous! I'm sure it will do well in the show. And isn't it great to check things off that list? Julie@TheCraftyQuilter.com
