Scrumptious Sunday Stash Share
9:36:00 AMThings have been a little rough in the Sew at Home Mummy household as of late.
My husband had lower back surgery in December, and was doing really well the first 3 weeks of recovery, but then something changed. He's been in excruciating pain for 2 weeks now, in and out of doctor's appointments and labs and MRI scanners. It's been tough on him.
Because he's basically incapacitated, I've been having to do everything - all the driving, cleaning, cooking, and more.
I don't want to complain - but I'm exhausted. I quite honestly don't know how single parents do it. I have a brand new appreciation.
Anywho - I think what I'm trying to do is justify my recent fabric splurges. Hahaha. Ooops. I deserved them??
First up is this gorgeous charm square pack of an out of print Bonnie and Camille line for Moda - "Scrumptious" -
I love their stuff. It's so vintage-y pretty. I picked this one up on Instagram under the hashtag #thegreatfabricdestash.
I'm still waiting on my other purchase - a Pepper Corry bundle of her new line, "Brushstrokes", which I picked up in a drop on Massdrop for $40. I'll share pictures of that when it arrives.

I've been eyeing the new line Carkai, but I think I'll hold off. My exhaustion shopping has to stop! hehehe
Linking up to Molli Sparkles Stash Share today! Mwah!

Having to do it all is tough! Just juggling my kids around two work schedules is hard enough, but when he came down with the flu this week-and it snowed 10"-forget it, I was a basket case for days. I feel ya!
ReplyDeleteUgh. Snow. What a nightmare. I'd rather have to mow the lawn in 100F heat than shovel an inch more of snow (which is on the way again, I hear. Oy.)
DeletePretty fabric, Erin! I hope your husband feels better soon. Being incapacitated like that would be awful.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your husband and hope he heals well and is better soon! When my husband works away I get exhausted too! It's hard work alright! Gorgeous fabric picks and enjoy your sewing time :)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you are having to deal with this! And I hope for both of you that he starts feeling better soon! Hope you get to do some sewing this week! Grace and peace ...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Sharon! I really appreciate it. Slow and steady wins the race, right?
DeleteHope your husband feels better soon. That's a great collection of fabric...such bright colours.
ReplyDeleteSending wishes for your husband ti get better soon! I've cut back on fabric shopping with the low Canadian dollar but I have called dibs on a Carkai bundle with a Canadian retailer, once they arrive. I hope you get some time to enjoy your new acquisitions.
ReplyDeleteI ♥ to hear from you!
